Compare practice management software

Find the right practice management software for the way you deliver care.

Compare features, pricing and workflows for the platforms Canadian and US clinicians consider most often. We review publicly available information, cite sources, show review dates and explain where each platform may be the better fit.

How we compare

Sourced, dated and written for the clinician, not the scoreboard.

Comparison pages on vendor websites usually read like a scorecard where the host wins every row. We publish these pages as CompanyOn, so you know there is a commercial interest. What we can do is show what the other platform does well, who it fits, and where CompanyOn is the stronger choice, with every competitor fact tied to a public source and a verification date.

The pattern we look at is the same on every page: how pricing grows with your team, what happens when care leaves the clinic, how insurance billing works in Canada and the US, and how each platform handles privacy and data residency.

  • Facts from the provider's own pricing, features and help pages
  • A visible verification date and source list on every comparison
  • Both tools described by fit, so you can self-select
What stays constant

Three things that are true on every comparison page.

Whatever platform you are coming from, these are the parts of CompanyOn that keep showing up as the difference.

FAQ

About these comparisons

How do you build these comparisons?
Every competitor fact comes from that provider's public pricing, features and help pages, checked on the date shown at the top of each comparison. We list the sources on the page and describe where each tool fits rather than ranking them.
Why do the pages show a verification date?
Software pricing and features change often. The date tells you exactly when we last checked the other provider's pages, so you can confirm anything that matters to your decision on their website before you commit.
Which comparison should I read first?
Pick the platform you are using or evaluating now. If you run a clinic with a front desk, start with Jane App. If you are a solo massage therapist, physiotherapist or chiropractor weighing a lower-cost Canadian tool, start with Noterro. If you run a counselling practice, read SimplePractice or Owl Practice. Allied health clinics should start with Cliniko, and home care agencies with AlayaCare, AxisCare or CareSmartz360.
Can I test CompanyOn before switching?
Yes. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial with full access; a payment card is kept on file and nothing is charged until the trial ends, subject to the current terms. Import your clients, run a real week of bookings, charting and billing, and compare it with your current tool side by side.
A detail on a comparison page looks out of date. What should I do?
Tell us. Write to [email protected] with the page and the detail, and we will re-check it against the provider's site and update the verification date.
